December 9, 2019 is another memorable date for our company’s history, and it is another big mile stone for our growth and development because we officially inaugurated our new Project in Poipet area under the name POIPET PP SPECIAL ECONOMIC ZONE. And what made the event even more special is that we had the inauguration ceremony jointly done with Sumitronics Manufacturing (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., our first investor who produces very high value-added electronics products with Japanese standards.

On this very special day, we had the greatest honor to receive the participation from H.E. Sok Chenda Sophea, Minister attached to the Prime Minister and Secretary General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, and H.E. MIKAMI Masahiro, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia.

After more than ten years of experience on operation of the Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone, we feel confident that we will succeed in turning this once used to be a heated war front into a remarkable industrial land.

Both H.E. Sok Chenda Sophea, Minister attached to the Prime Minister and Secretary General of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, and Mr. Hiroshi Uematsu, CEO of Poipet PPSEZ Co., Ltd. mentioned the serious conditions in Poipet area after the civil war in which lots of land mines and unexploded items remained scattered around the area. And both were very optimistic that this area will become one of the most important economic and industrial areas of the country.
