On 17 January 2025, Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (RGPPSEZ) proudly witnessed the Grand Opening Ceremony of Hestra (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., our first investor from Sweden with 90 years of expertise in manufacturing sport goods from leather and fabric. The establishment of their operations in RGPPSEZ to manufacture high-quality sport gloves represents a blend of Swedish innovation and Cambodian opportunity, paving the way for enhanced economic collaboration and job creation within the region.

The event was honored by the presence of His Excellency Mr. Chea Vuthy, Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board (CIB) of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), and Her Excellency Ms. Anna Hammargren, Ambassador of Swedish Embassy in Thailand, and various other distinguished guests. Their attendance underscores the strong diplomatic and economic ties between Cambodia and Sweden, fostering mutual growth and development.

In conjunction with the ceremony, Her Excellency the Ambassador of Sweden also paid a visit to our office. We felt highly honored to be granted the opportunity to introduce about our operations, share information and discuss about various matters and possibilities of cooperations. 

Hestra’s investment not only contributes to the diversity of industries within the zone but also sets a precedent for other European investors to consider Cambodia as a key destination for business expansion. The collaboration between Hestra, RGPPSEZ, and stakeholders reaffirms our commitment to supporting investors and enhancing Cambodia’s global economic integration.
