On 4 December 2024, Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (RGPPSEZ) had the greatest honor to welcome H.E. Dr. Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic leading a group of delegates of high-ranking officials from the country, accompanied by H.E. Keo Rattanak, Minister of Mines and Energy of Cambodia, along with other representatives from Cambodian government institutions.

Cambodia and Laos have been in a long standing and friendly relationship. The visit of H.E. Dr. Sonexay Siphandone in Cambodia happened at the invitation of Samdach Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and just about 2 months after their bilateral meeting on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summits in Vientiane, Laos. The visit of the Prime Minister will surely strengthen and broaden the relationship of the two countries in various sectors.

As the developer of RGPPSEZ, we are extremely proud and honored to be chosen as one of the agenda in the 2-day official visit of the Prime Minister in Cambodia. Mr. Fong Nee Wai, Chief Financial Officer of Royal Group Phnom Penh SEZ Plc. expressed his heartfelt welcome to the Prime Minister of Lao PDR and promised that the company will support any business cooperation and collaboration between the two countries.

After some brief introduction of our development, the visit concluded with a tour in the factory of Minebea (Cambodia) Co., Ltd, a giant electronic and electrical device manufacturing company from Japan.

It was a memorable visit to note in our company’s history. We felt that our effort has been highly recognized, and this visit will energize us to try harder and to move further to contribute more to the economic development of the country.
