Responding to the increasing new Coronavirus crisis, a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project of Poipet PPSEZ launched on 17 April 2020. In collaboration with Poipet city hall, Poipet PPSEZ donated one ton of rice to the people who have been affected during COVID-19 pandemic.
On Monday, 6 April 2020, in collaboration with Minebea (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., Phnom Penh SEZ Plc. (PPSP) held a sharing session with 56 participants from different factories inside PPSEZ at Minebea (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. The main topic of this session was to share “Current Actions and Precautions for COVID-19”.
On 5 March 2020, a meeting was conducted between management of Phnom Penh SEZ Plc. and team of the Representative Office of Customs and Excise in Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone about the progress and performance in 2019.
On Saturday, 28 March 2020, in collaboration between Phnom Penh SEZ Plc. (PPSP) with Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, there are 50 Occupational Medical Teams from Occupational Safety Health (OSH) setting up the training for the factories inside the zone, with the purpose to teach people the right concept of epidemic prevention from COVID-19.
On Thursday, 26 March 2020, in collaboration with the representative of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MoLVT), PPSP conducted the first quarterly HR meeting with 68 participants from various companies inside the zone. Mr. Pol Chandara, the representative of MoLVT based in the zone shared with participants the update on new notifications such as Worker/Employee Phone Number Update, Foreigner’s Work Permit, Employment Card for Worker, and Training on Prevention of COVID-19.
As it marks our 11th year of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project of PPSP, on Saturday, 1 February 2020, in collaboration with Khan Kombol hall, PPSP financed the gravel road in Prey Boeng Village, Sangkat Kantouk, Khan Kombol with its length of 2,232m and cost of 10,270.50 USD for the community, especially for the villagers living in Prey Boeng.

In the morning of 23 January 2020, PPSP has had another great honor to welcome the visit led by H.E. Dr. Aun Pornmoniroth, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy and Finance, accompanied with H.E. Dr. Kun Nhem, Delegate of the Royal Government in Charge of the General Department of Customs and Excise of Cambodia, and H.E. Mr. Sok Chenda Sophea, Minister attached to the Prime Minister, Secretary General of Council for the Development of Cambodia.
On Wednesday, December 18th, 2019 at RUPP, the representative of PPSP’s management, Mr. Sun Samoeun presented scholarship awards to ten RUPP’s students. This is the third year that PPSP has offered the scholarship to students at RUPP with the total amount of 5,000 USD per year to support students’ learning programs for new academic year 2019-2020.
On Friday, December 13, 2019, in collaboration with the representative of the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MoLVT), PPSP conducted quarterly HR and Admin meeting with 77 participants from various companies inside the zone.
