The Royal Government of Cambodia has been implementing strict measures to prevent further spread of the COVID-19. During the lockdown period 15 – 28 April, all companies in Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone were complying and cooperating with the government to combat the spread.
Fortunately, for the extended one-week period of
lockdown, Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone as well as the surrounding area has
been classified as the Yellow Zone in which business operation and movement
have been permitted to conduct normally. So this morning, April 29th,
workers started coming to work as normal.
All the investors in the zone are fully aware of
the risk of further spread of the virus and its negative effects on their
production plan and business operation, so more and stricter measures have been
introduced in each factory such as regular temperature measuring, compulsory
mask wearing, social distancing during meals, hands disinfecting with soap and
alcohol etc.
With everyone cooperating and complying to the
measurements set by the Royal Government, we are positive that we will be able
to overcome this situation very soon.
