On 15 February 2023, we had the great honour to welcome delegates from the Committee of Planning, Investment, Agriculture, Rural Development, Environment, and Water Resources (Third Committee) of the National Assembly led by H.E. Loy Sophat, Chairman of the Committee, as well as some other accompanying delegates from Mistry of Environment, and Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, and Members of Parliament for Phnom Penh Capital to the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (RGPPSEZ).

The purpose of the visit was to have a deeper understanding about the actual development and challenges faced by the zone developer and the investors.

H.E. Chea Vuthy, Deputy Secretary General of Cambodia Special Economic Zone Board, and Chairman of Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone Administration expressed his pleasure and excitement and said the visit of H.E. Loy Sophat and the delegates really helps encourage everyone to work more and harder for the investment sector and the industrialization of the country.

 

Mr. Uematsu Hiroshi, CEO of Royal Group Phnom Penh SEZ PLC., said the company has been trying to attract a wide variety of investors to the zone in terms of nationalities, size of investment, as well as the types of products, and that these are the results of the continuous supports from the Royal Government of Cambodia. 

The group of delegates were also invited to visit Marvel Garment Co., Ltd., a giant high-tech garment factory, where they witnessed the comfortable working and living conditions of the workers, and were amazed with the facilities that the company provide to them.

We believe that all the delegates had a great visit time in our zone. We are proud and honoured, and we will keep trying harder to develop and contribute more to the country’s industrialization and economic development.
