On 3 May 2024, the management team of Royal Group Phnom Penh SEZ Plc. initiated its 14th Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project. The project involved handing over 100 sets of solar lights and poles to Samor and Tonsay Keach villages in Daem Reus Commune, Kandal Stueng District, Kandal Province.
The purpose of this CSR project was to provide streetlights to both villages, creating a safer and more convenient environment, particularly during nighttime hours and relieving the concerns of villagers due to insufficient streetlights. Moreover, the lighting is likely to improve commuting options for the factory workers travelling to the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone.
Royal Group Phnom Penh SEZ Plc. has undertaken various CSR projects and charitable activities since 2009. These include promoting road safety, repairing roads, building school libraries and community kindergartens, supporting silk production research, and providing streetlights to villages. These efforts to improve people's living conditions align with the company's mission of serving the community and fostering Cambodia's sustainable development.
