Purposes of the Position

To commit to being safely responsive in action to accidental incidences of power trips on the electrical grid ensuring power trip duration is minimized following the supervisor’s instructions.

To provide technical support on the power supply and distribution network and do maintenance and reparation of the electrical appliance to ensure smooth and effective operation.

Roles and Responsibilities 

-        Prepare reports of daily operations related to electrical activities of power distribution.

-        Check safety and do the maintenance by the schedule for electrical and mechanical work.

-        Follow up on the installation test and cleaning of all electrical panels and pumping motors.

-        Support the electrical team for the power distribution network.

-        Supervise the reading of electrical meters and record the power consumption for a senior manager to plan and invoicing purposes.

-        Do maintenance and reparation of transformers, MCCB (Main Control Circuit Breaker), fuse, and cable.

-         Assist other electrical staff in conducting maintenance and reparation of the control panel of the motor pump for all stations – water treatment plant, water storage tanks (semi-ground and towers #1, #2, #3, #4,#5) sewage system, wastewater treatment plant, and flood control system.

-        Do maintenance and reparation of the street lighting network and other electrical appliances for civil work and building if required.

-        Assist supervisor and technical manager during testing and commissioning of related electrical appliances.

-        Work or standby on night shift if necessary

-        Do various tasks and responsibilities as required by senior management.

Relationships

Internal: Skill worker is required to collaborate with line supervisors and staff of Technical Sections and Departments to achieve good operation standards and provide satisfactory service to customers.

External: The job holder is also required to work closely with contractors, supervisors, and service providers in PPSEZ.

Qualifications and Skills Required

-             At least qualified and recognized electrical basic and Training in section.

-             Minimum two years of experience in mechanical work preferably in low-voltage power system.

-             Qualified ability to use software applications preferably Microsoft Office.

-             Ability to make records and write reports of electrical work to supervisor.

-             Ability to work flexibly on the night shift.

-             Good writing & speaking in English.
