On Thursday 27 April 2023, Royal Group Phnom Penh SEZ Plc. (PPSP) held our 7th Annual General Shareholders’ Meeting at Cambodiana Hotel from 2:00 – 3:30 PM, with the Record date 7 April 2023.
On 1 March 2023, the 1st quarterly HR meeting was held in Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone with 42 participants from various factories in the zone.
On 3 March 2023, we were highly honored to welcome the visit of H.E. UENO Atsushi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to the Kingdom of Cambodia, to the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (RGPPSEZ).
As the developing company of Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (RGPPSEZ), Royal Group Phnom Penh SEZ Plc. (PPSP) has been attracting investors from all over the world to set up their manufacturing plants in the zone. At the same time, we have been receiving investments in the non-manufacturing field as well, especially those who provide various services to our investors.
It was a great honor for Royal Group Phnom Penh SEZ Plc. (PPSP) to be selected as the fifth company for CFA Institute Research Challenge. The Kick-off meeting started on 12 October 2022 and the final Prize Ceremony was on 15 February 2023. The CFA Institute Research Challenge is a global competition that tests the equity research and valuation, investment report writings, and presentation skills of university students.
On 15 February 2023, we had the great honour to welcome delegates from the Committee of Planning, Investment, Agriculture, Rural Development, Environment, and Water Resources (Third Committee) of the National Assembly led by H.E. Loy Sophat, Chairman of the Committee, as well as some other accompanying delegates from Mistry of Environment, and Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology, and Members of Parliament for Phnom Penh Capital to the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (RGPPSEZ).
On 11 February 2023, an official inauguration ceremony was held for the public use of a newly built kindergarten located in Mkak Village, Duem Rues Commune, Kandal Stueng District, Kandal Province. The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Ouch Sao Voeun, Governor of Kandal Stueng District and Mr. Fong Nee Wai, Chief Financial Officer of Royal Group Phnom Penh SEZ Plc., and attended by 123 people from Mkak Village, local authorities, and staffs of the company.
Capacity charge started to be introduced to companies using rooftop solar panels with synchronization to the national grid. This has raised concerns and disappointment among some companies in the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone. As the zone developer, we felt need to organize a meeting for 8 companies who have been using or have planned to install rooftop solar panels in order to have a direct Q&A session with the power supply company in the zone.
5 December 2022 is another date to note as one of our existing customers, Sumi (Cambodia) Wiring System Co., Ltd. celebrated the Official Opening Ceremony for their 3rd plant in the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone, part of Royal Group. As the developer of the zone, we would like to express our heartfelt congratulations to Sumi for this auspicious occasion.
In the morning of 1 December 2022, we were highly honored and proud to witness the 10+1 Anniversary Ceremony of Minebea (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., a giant electronics manufacturer in the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone.
