The 4th Dose Vaccination Campaign was launched and organized by the Ministry of Health in collaboration with Doctor Alliance of Union Youth Federations of Cambodia (DA-UYFC) from Monday, 28 February 2022 until Friday, 11 March 2022 in PPSEZ with good support and assistance from the Administration of Khan Kambol, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, and Phnom Penh SEZ Plc.
In the morning of 18 February 2022, Neak Oknha Kith Meng, the new Chairman of Phnom Penh SEZ Plc. (PPSP), invited a group of delegates consisting of members of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, potential business partners and service providers to visit Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (PPSEZ). One main purpose of the visit was to show everyone how the zone is being operated, and to show the current development and achievement, as well as to create a chance to get to know each other for future possible collaboration between the zone developer and other related businesses.
Phnom Penh SEZ Plc (PPSP) wishes to announce that its’ founding shareholder and former chairwoman, Lok Chumteav Oknha Lim Chhiv Ho (“Madame Lim”) has disposed 100% of her 45.09% shareholdings representing 32,410,000 shares in PPSP to Inter Logistics (Cambodia) Co. Ltd,(ILC) part of the Royal Group of Companies. Mr. Eric Tan, eldest son of Madame Lim and Chairman of PPSP stated that the family has taken this opportunity to divest off its interest in PPSP as it continues to pursue new investment opportunities in Cambodia via the LCH Investment Group Co. Ltd. with a focus on industrial real estate development (such as its’ 1000-hectare Steung Hav International Port and SEZ) and the international premium products distribution business via the Attwood Import and Export Co. Ltd.
On Saturday, 11 December 2021, an official inauguration ceremony was held for the public use of a newly built kindergarten located in Teaen Village, Duem Rues Commune, Kandal Steung District, Kandal Province. The ceremony was attended by 63 people from PPSP, young and adult villagers, local authorities, and presided by Mr. Ouch Sao Voeun, Governor of Kandal Stuerng District and Mr. Hiroshi Uematsu, CEO of PPSP.
On 6 November 2021, PPSP had a great honor to join the humanitarian activity organized by the Working Group on supporting Kandal Stueng district to assist hundreds of families affected by the flood in Kandal Stueng District, Kandal Province.
The booster dose vaccination campaign was launched and administered by military doctors and nurses from the Ministry of National Defense on Thursday, 14 October 2021 in PPSEZ, with good cooperation from the Administration of Khan Kombol, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, and the zone developer.
On 9 October 2021, in collaboration with Poipet city hall and the local authorities of two villages in Sangkat Poipet, Poipet PPSEZ provided humanitarian gifts including two tons and half of rice, canned fish and other daily foodstuff to 126 families affected by flood in Kbal Koh Village and Poipet Village.
In the morning of 4 October 2021, PPSP had the great honor to welcome the visit of delegates from Phnom Penh Autonomous Port, one of the public listed companies in the Cambodia Stock Exchange Market. The purpose of the visit was to have a deeper insight on how PPSP has been operating, achieving its successes, and dealing with challenges while developing Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone. It was a very fruitful meeting and discussion. And we hope Phnom Penh Autonomous Port and Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone continue to have good cooperation to improve the logistic convenience for existing investors and to attract new ones to the country.
On 21 September 2021, PPSP had the great honor to host the visit of His Excellency Ermenegildo Lopes, Ambassador of Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, accompanied by His Excellency Kim Rithy, Deputy Governor of Kandal Province and other delegates.
On 11 August 2021, a friendly sharing session was conducted between management team of Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone (PPSEZ) and Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone (SSEZ). Both SEZs have been known as two of the leading SEZs in Cambodia accommodating various industries from various countries.
