May 08,2017: Phnom Penh SEZ PLC, represented by two senior officers, donated 5,000 US dollars to The Cambodian Red Cross (CRC) in the event of the 154th Anniversary of World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day this morning at the CRC headquarters in Phnom Penh under the theme “Cambodian Red Cross is Everywhere for Everyone.”
The celebration was presided over by Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and his spouse Samdech Kittiprittbandit Bun Rany Hun Sen, President of CRC, with the participation of members of CRC, members of Parliament and government, charitable people and CRC’s youth volunteers.
For last year, 13.43 million US dollars were collected on the occasion as humanitarian contribution from local and overseas charitable people.
Flood, drought, storm, fire and other natural disasters have brought miserable lives to a lot of people in Cambodia every year. All the unfortunates are in great need for help to have a proper shelter, food, and clothing, just to name the few.
Cambodian Red Cross Organization, is one of the largest humanitarian organizations in Cambodia. Establish in 1955, it is officially recognized by Royal Government as the primary auxiliary to the public authorities in humanitarian services. It was admitted as a member of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent since 1960.
Phnom Penh SEZ PLC is a regular contributor to CRC. We wish that this act of sharing become culture in the Cambodia society.
