The Corporate Social Responsibility committee, a 9-member team of Phnom Penh SEZ staff, has today spent a day at Prey Rameas primary school where it dug a well to provide fresh water for the children's bathrooms, installed a new school gate, filled land in the schoolyard to even the playing field and installed a flag pole in front of the school building.
Phnom Penh SEZ also donated text and note books as well as new garbage bins for the schoolyard. "We are glad to be here today, it is fantastic to work for the children and to see how proud they are of their new equipment", says Mok Sophorn, recruitment manager at Phnom Penh SEZ. "We are very glad to go out to the communities surrounding our Special Economic Zone, to support their development which comes alongside ours, and to help them understand better what we do. We hope to be able to provide many of these students with jobs at Phnom Penh SEZ once they grow up". The day took place under the motto "renovating for a better future", a variation of the Phnom Penh SEZ slogan.
