On July 25th, 2013, there were 130 students accompanied by 8 instructors from Sakura Human Training conducting a study tour in Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone.
Sakura Human Training is a Japanese company providing courses of Japanese language for business purpose at some educational institutions such as National University of Management (NUM), National Institute of Business (NIB), and NGO ALC COMMUNICATIONS etc. The 130 students are from those institutions.
The purpose of the study tour is to give young students motivation to learn Japanese language by providing them with the opportunity to see the working environment in some Japanese companies in PPSEZ as well as to listen to the experience and ideas of the local staffs and foreign expatriates about working in Japanese companies.
Students were given a chance to visit Minebea (Cambodia) Co., Ltd., Clean Circle Co., Ltd., and Sumi (Cambodia) Wiring System Co., Ltd. where they were given some explanation about the companies’ profiles, working conditions, policies etc. They also had a chance to have a tour around the factories to see by themselves how the factories operate and what it is like to work for a Japanese company.
PPSEZ staffs conducted a brief guide around the zone to show the development of the area into the present industrial zone. PPSEZ always welcome such visit to enhance the knowledge to students showing them the
growth of our project and encouraging the students to be a part of the development.
