Phnom Penh SEZ has signed an agreement with a leading Cambodian diamond trading firm to establish an international standard, industrial diamond processing and export facility on the grounds of Cambodia's leading Special Economic Zone. The overall investment will stand at US$ 6 Million, with the necessary precision machinery being imported from Belgium, a global diamond processing and exporting hub.
Phnom Penh SEZ Co., Ltd. (PPSEZ) today signed an agreement with Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation aimed at strengthening marketing activities to attract more Japanese investors Phnom Penh SEZ. Sumitomo Corporation is one of the largest diversified corporations in Japan and has been engaged in a range of industrial parks in Southeast Asia such as Indonesia, the Philippines, Vietnam and Thailand for over 20years. Sumitomo has been one of the largest investors in Phnom Penh SEZ too, with local subsidiary Sumi Wiring Systems Co. LTD opening a plant in 2011.
